How do I care for my jewelry?

Your jewelry has delicate joints and components, so please handle with care at all times.

All sterling silver will tarnish over time, but certain elements will cause it to tarnish much faster, such as perfume, salty air, salty water, sulphur compounds, skin creams, hairspray, chlorine and acidic skin ph. The amount of tarnishing (oxidation) that occurs is very much dependent on the skin and care habits of the wearer. Tarnishing is therefore not a manufacturing fault in of itself.

After wearing your jewelry, we recommend giving it a quick wipe with a jewelry polishing cloth to remove surface contaminants, and then storing in the plastic pouch it came with, as this reduces exposure to air. Regular use of a polishing cloth will go far towards slowing down the natural tarnishing process.

Should you desire to give new life to your metal jewelry, feel free to contact us or bring your piece to our store. We offer complimentary re-plating services for 1 year after purchase, and at a nominal fee thereafter.

How do I store my jewelry?

Jewelry should be stored in cool/dark environments and ideally in sealed jewelry boxes or airtight containers. It can also be stored in a plastic zip lock bag that does not contain sulphur compounds.
